Dept. Trade & Industry: Objective: Identify the skills needed by senior civil servants and the factors which ensure that people on the Accelerated Development Programme gain the most from the Programme.

East of England Development Agency: Objective: To undertake a major research project to assess the skills required to enable the six main councils in the East of England to respond to the challenge of sustainable communities.

Multi-national oil company: Objective: To support the senior management team to translate this multi-national, multi-cultural company’s values and performance indicators into skills, attributes and knowledge (SAKs) for the future.

Foundation Hospital (Yorkshire): Objective: Worked with key managers to identify the skills (attributes and knowledge) needed by a modern ‘NHS Leader’. The subsequent questionnaire has been put on line so that it can be accessed by a wide an audience.

Council (Kent): Objective: Undertake an audit the skills of the senior managers. Review and update the existing competency framework. This was then put on line and accessed by all 90 senior managers and their reports in a 360º input process.

Consultancy (India): Objective: Run a training programme for consultants in the use of competency assessment and the use of a specialist software program for 360 degree feedback.
